Happy New Year!
I would like to wish Go players worldwide a happy and successful new year. This is a perfect time to reflect on what the game means to us, and what we hope to achieve.
Regarding my own goal; going by the original deadline I have 30 days left to gain four stones (well, three and a half). Needless to say this is not going to happen without some sort of miracle. So, I have bumped the deadline up to May 12, 2011. In addition to being one year after I started working towards the goal, this makes up for the time I “lost” this year due to other matters that deserved my attention. I have resumed my study plan and began reading “Invincible, The Games of Shusaku“.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to help spread word of the American Go Foundation’s fund-raising efforts. The AGF have made major contributions to the promotion of Go among youth. Please read more about their outreach program at their website, and consider making a donation.
